These are the terms you agree to by using Vetted. The most important one is the first: Vetted is not a vet, and it cannot diagnose your animal.
Vetted does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. It reads a description of a symptom and tells you how urgently a vet should see your animal. That is a triage opinion built from published guidance and a set of safety rules — it is not an examination, and nothing in the app replaces one.
If you think this is an emergency, phone a vet now. Do not wait for the app, and do not let a calm-sounding answer talk you out of a bad feeling. You are looking at your animal; the app is reading a paragraph.
Never delay veterinary care because of something Vetted said. An answer of "monitor at home" means nothing worrying was recognised in what you wrote — not that nothing is wrong. Symptoms that persist, worsen, or frighten you need a vet regardless of what the app says.
The feeding, portion and target-weight numbers are calculated from published resting-energy formulas and the calorie content you entered. They are a sensible starting point for a healthy adult animal, not a prescription diet. Animals that are pregnant, nursing, growing, unwell, or on a vet-prescribed diet should be fed as their vet directs, not as Vetted calculates. The workings are shown in the app under "How the numbers work" so your vet can check them.
Body condition scoring is an owner-assessed or photo-assisted estimate of the standard 9-point scale. It is a useful trend, not a clinical measurement.
Vetted is run by a sole trader based in Ireland ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.

There is no account and no password. Every pet, weigh-in, symptom check and photo is stored on your device. That means:
You must be 16 or over to use Vetted.
Vetted is free to download, and the parts that keep an animal healthy day to day — the portion plan, the weight log and reminders — are free and have no cap.

120 a month is a real ceiling, not marketing language: past it the app says so and pauses symptom checks until the 1st. It works out at four a day, which is far more than a worried owner uses — but we would rather print the number than say "unlimited" and cut you off. If you genuinely need more, email us.
Plans, prices and the features in each are shown in the app before you buy, and those are the ones that apply. Price changes never affect a period you have already paid for.
None of this removes your rights as a consumer under Irish or EU law.
Please do not: use Vetted to give veterinary advice to other people, or present its output as a professional opinion; resell or rebrand it; submit content or photographs you have no right to; try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service; or work around the monthly allowance with repeat installs.
If an install is clearly being used to abuse the service we may rate-limit or block it. If that happens to a paying subscriber in error, tell us and we will fix it.
Vetted is provided as-is. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we rely on third parties (Apple, our hosting provider, an AI provider) whose uptime we do not control. The triage rules are reviewed against published guidance but no rule set catches everything.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, and to your rights as a consumer, our total liability to you for any claim connected with Vetted is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
To be plain about the thing that matters most: we are not liable for veterinary outcomes, veterinary costs, or harm to an animal arising from a decision you made with the app's help. The decision to seek care, and when, is yours and your vet's.
These terms are between you and us, not between you and Apple. Apple is not responsible for Vetted or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you. If Vetted fails to conform to any warranty Apple is obliged to give, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; beyond that Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
If we ever have to withdraw the app, we will say so in advance in the release notes and on this site, and we will make sure the export still works so you can take your animal's record with you. A lifetime purchase cannot outlive the app itself; if we withdraw it within a year of your purchase we will ask Apple to refund you.
If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top, and material changes will be mentioned in the app's release notes. Continuing to use Vetted after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the law of the country you live in.
